This past spring I left my 30 year career as a broker on one of the trading floors in Chicago.  It was a good career and allowed me to accomplish many goals in life, one of which was purchasing the land in southwest Wisconsin  that would eventually become Blue Ash Farm.  It was a beautiful piece of land that had its days as corn fields and pasture but was in need of some rehab and TLC.  It was at one time pristine wild land but the wetlands had been drained and invasive species had crept in.  It’s a work in progress but the time and money I have spent are paying off!

I took the summer off to spend time with my wife and kids and enjoy the time away from the trading floor and the early morning commute to Chicago.  We took and extended family vacation and I was able to complete several projects on my list at Blue Ash Farm as well as at home.

The summer began with my appearance on the ABC show The Chew.  Over the last several years I met and have become good fends with a buddy who saw the magic of Blue Ash Farm, enjoyed my stories and loved my cooking, foraging and hunting adventures.  With his help I was able to share a little bit of my passion with the audience of the The Chew.  I had so much fun and the entire crew could not have been any more enjoyable and welcoming to me.  I have so much more to do and so many ideas and activities so I hope to find the right outlet to share all I have to offer.

I post all kinds of pictures on my Blue Ash Farm Instagram, Twitter and Facebook pages.  I have pictures of everything from wildlife, wild foods, and everyday life.  I have a YouTube channel and add videos when I can.  Follow the links on my web page and follow and like my pages.  There is always something fun going on!
